Germany is committed to ending the era of nuclear power. This requires the use of new and tried and tested technologies to compensate for the failures. One technique is wind turbines. The wind has been used by humans for several centuries. In the Middle Ages, the wind was used in mills to grind flour. In a wind turbine the wind is caught in the rotor blades. Similar to a windmill for children, the wind blows into the rotor blades and thus moves them or drives them. The rotor blades are connected to a generator via the scar. Electrical energy is thus generated by the rotors' revolutions. This energy is fed into the public grid via an inverter. The operator of the wind turbines receives a certain legally prescribed amount per kilowatt hour for the electricity fed into the grid. Since the amount is higher than the usual purchase price of conventionally generated electricity, the additional costs are added to the general electricity price. Virtually every electricity customer is already paying a contribution to the energy revolution. In Germany, wind energy was used mainly in the north. There are various techniques for this. Onshore technology uses wind energy in rural areas. Offshore wind farms use the sea. This does not consume a lot of usable space. In addition, there are no effects on local residents either. However, construction and access to the consumer network are much more complicated and expensive.
