Definition and Manufacturing

The production of aluminium pressure pouring parts are needed for the alignment of large batch manufacturing of moulds usually from steel. Through the use of aluminium it refers mainly to alloys, which means that other metals such as magnesium, iron and copper in the exactly defined amounts can be applied so that the desired characteristics can be achieved.
Furthermore an alloy additive such as separating agents are included which prevents amongst other things the aluminium from setting in the form. During the production the alloy is heated to the point where it begins to melt and after that in a discontinuous process with help from pistons without pressure metered into the warmed up moulds, which had been previously heated by a heating appliance.
The length of this process is fixed precisely for each part and has to be on the one hand long enough that the addictives are evaporated and can escape from the mould through a vent duct, while on the other hand being as short as possible so that the melted substance does not start to prematurely solidify.
Thereby it is of exceptional importance that the mould temperature, the amount of aluminium melted as well as the dosing speed is controlled and complied with.
Deviations from these parameters can lead to moulds which are not filled correctly or trapped air in material meaning weaknesses in the parts.
If the complete quantity is metered into the mould the pressure above the actual flow pressure will also temporarily increase to compress the mass. Once the mass is solidified the finished eil can be removed.
