The flange heater consists of tubular heating elements and is used for direct electrical heating of liquid and gaseous media. The radiator can also be used for machine heating.
Task from the customer:
During the on-site analysis it was determined that an electric heating device was required for roll production. The bushes integrated in the rolls had to be heated so that the bearing journals could be inserted more easily. An electrical heating system that is easy to handle for rough operating conditions was required. Solution:

Due to the large number of different bushings and the different dimensions and outputs, several flanged heating elements with different diameters were required. Due to the solid construction of the electrical heating elements, a simple handling when inserting into the roller body was achieved as well as a pulling out and depositing of the still hot device was made possible.
The project heating flange for roller heating was realized within 6 weeks, starting from the inquiry up to the delivery. The prices of the heating devices ranged from € 800.00 to 1,000.00 per unit.

Flanged radiators
Heating flanges are used in systems where high outputs are required with compact dimensions.
The supply voltage is 400V 3-ph. Depending on the power, up to 690V 3-ph. is also possible.
The heating power must be selected according to the requirements and depends on the size to be used and the medium to be heated.

Assembly:
Flange made of stainless steel 1.4571
Welded-in tubular heating elements 8.5mm, also made of 1.4571. Other materials are possible.
The connection housing consists of painted sheet steel. Protection class IP54.
The housing sits on a cooling section of 80mm.
The unheated length is: up to DN125: 100mm / from DN150: 150mm
A 1-pole capillary tube controller 30-85°C is installed.
The power must be switched on by means of a control to be provided by the customer.
Powers up to max. 12 kW can also be supplied with direct switching thermostats.
Other temperature ranges and/or temperature limiters are possible.
Likewise the installation of temperature sensors, e.g. PT100.
Depending on the power, the heating flange is wired in one or more switching groups,
corresponding cable entries are provided in the connection housing.
