PTL Hermann GmbH develops and manufactures vibration type level switches for detecting the presence or absence of powdered or granular solids that are stored in all kinds of silos, hoppers and containers. The products get distributed worldwide.
Principle of operation:
a vibrating system gets forced to vibrate on its resonance frequency by a piezo crystal drive. If filling material, (bulk solids), covers the vibrating blade of the probe, its vibration gets damped. This is sensed by the electronic circuit and the output switches. When the blade gets uncovered due to declining level, the instrument restarts to vibrate and the output switches back.

Vibrating level switch for all kinds of powdered and granular solids. For heavy materials as well as for extremely light materials like styrofoam with densities even down to 10 grams/litre. Grain size from powder to max. 20mm. Process connection 11/2", insertion lengths 190mm up to 20m
CV600/CV660
Low-Cost vibrating level switches for grained and granular solids with minimum densities of 20 grams/litre (CV660: 50 grams/litre) and max. grain sizes of 10mm. Process connection 1", insertion length 157mm
SHT 120/130/140
Vibrating level switch for powdered and granular solids with high process temperatures up to 250°C. Process connection 11/2", insertion lengths 184mm up to 4m.
