Inline or offline short roll winding

Offline master roll winding

Special winding machines are required for the mechanical processing of machine rolls, machine or automatic stretch film. Stretching machines essentially consist of the turntable with a ramp and the tower, on which there is a flexible film carriage, which holds the machine stretch film. With plain winding machines, the film carriage must be moved up or down by hand. For this reason, an employee is always needed, while more elaborately equipped winding machines can be put into operation at the push of a button. As a result, the turntable is automatically activated by means of an automatic soft-start system and the pallet can be wrapped in automatically. To push the shipping pallet directly to the turntable, a drive-on ramp is required. A distinction is made between fully automatic and semi-automatic winding machines. In the case of semi-automatic machines, certain work steps must still be carried out by an employee by hand. Fully automatic winding machines, on the other hand, work independently. However, since the investment is very high, they are only profitable from a certain pallet volume. Innovative winding machines are equipped with an integrated photocell. It reacts to a maximum height of the respective pallet and gives a signal to the stretch winder so that it automatically winds downwards. High-quality winding machines provide several winding programs. They automatically control the number of cross, foot, down and up windings. Also, whether a cover sheet is required and how many head windings are required.
