Expanding Hard Foams
Foam-iT!® are rigid 2-component foams which are mixed in simple mixing ratios. The mixture can be poured or painted and, depending on the product version, expands by a multiple of the original volume. The material develops a uniform cell structure. Foam-iT!® 10 Slow is a slower special version and especially suitable for casting larger volumes. Foam-iT!® 8 is characterized by a tightly closed outer skin and an even more uniform cell structure. Together with Foam-iT!® 15, it is also ideally suited to be cast as a cost-effective, millable PUR block; ideal for model and prototype construction. All foams can be poured directly into a negative mould or used as backfill material for hollow castings or as cladding. Color effects are achieved with So-Strong® pigments.
Typical areas of application are the production of lightweight props for film and stage productions as well as numerous applications in industry and arts and crafts.
