Show more For demanding tool surfaces in plastic injection moulding and extrusion moulding, we process the steel moulds in cooperation with a coating company.The PRIMEFORM diffusion layer makes the high-gloss surfaces more resistant to wear, scratches and corrosion. Low surface energies optimize the flow behavior, minimize the adhesion of coatings and thus make mold cleaning much easier. The demoulding behaviour is maintained over a long period of time.
The PRIMEFORM diffusion coating also allows internal functional surfaces to be treated with plasma-assisted heat treatment processes.
All tool steels that are thermally stable at a temperature of 380°C can be coated. The tool components always remain true to size and shape in the micrometer range.
Re-coating or re-coating with PRIMEFORM after mould repairs such as welding, grinding and polishing is possible without final layers.
Wear and scratch-resistant surfaces with the highest polishing brilliance are created!
