In the door industry there are a lot of different ways in which they can be operated and controlled. In most of the cases it is possible that straight automatic doors can be easily controlled by an automatic system. Moreover, it is possible that the quality of doors is respected. Light sensors are only an example of one way in which the doors can be controlled and used. Automatic doors are used very often in public transport.

As a rule, automatic doors are used especially in buses or also on trams. The doors close, as a rule after a certain period of its own accord. It is possible that the doors for example are switched differently during the day, as in the night. In general, a light barrier is installed in front of the doors. This photocell then ensures that the doors can only be closed when nothing is blocking the photocell. Thus, it is possible that, for example, the door is closed only when everything is free, so that no body can get wedged in the door itself. It should of course be regularly checked that the light barrier is in good shape and everything works perfectly, but this is often the case.
