Milling spindles are used especially in the so called tilting spinder moulder machines. This machine type refers to a particular type of milling machine. These process work pieces made of wood and yield them into the desired shape. The spindle themselves are movable and accept control commands. Their advantage consist in that they can not only be controlled from the front but can also be controlled from behind. This increases the flexibility in reference to the quality of the work pieces and reduces the risk of accidents. Thereby a feeding system is often used. This improves the milling angle and produces consequently a more precisely milled surface and optimal chip derivation. The changing of the spindle is toolfree and accelerates the work with this technology considerably.
