Richard Sump GmbH was set up in 1925 and has a proud record of more than 80 years reliable service, supplying caterers of the marine and airline industry, cruise line and offshore operators, ship suppliers, hotels, supermarkets, building sites and food aid programmes. We send a wide range of food products to our customers throughout the world, wherever they are needed.
This is still a family business, now in the third generation, and backed by a highly motivated workforce. We combine tradition and experience with modern, creative management.
At the beginning of 2003, the company took a further step in setting the course for the future: It established the company Jürgen Stammer GmbH International Meat Supply as a joint-venture. This company has taken on the business previously handled by CMC Jürgen Stammer GmbH, thus continuing more than 40 years of experience in transit trading in meat and meat products, adressing the same customer group as Richard Sump GmbH. The two companies co-operate closely in transport and logistics, regularly sending joint shipments to customers all over the world.
The company’s facility was built in 1997 and extended in 2001. It is centrally located in the freeport of Hamburg, enabling us to source products from all over the world. In 2006 we opened our new state-of-the-art cold stores, so now we have modern storage rooms for more than 5.000 tons of refrigerated, frozen and non-temperature controlled food, permitting extremely short lead times for delivery by truck, container or airfreight.

Margarine - Manufacturers, Traders & Suppliers

The product margarine belongs to the group of spreadable fats and is a foodstuff. If butter is too fatty for you, you can choose margarine as a good alternative to the animal product butter.
Margarine is a purely vegetable fat that can be obtained from different foods. For example, there is margarine from sunflower seeds, as well as margarine from raps. Recently there is also margarine from olive oil, which is however in their taste a little special and can't be combined with all food. Many margarine varieties are refined with yoghurt or buttermilk, which gives them a fresher taste.
In the food sector, margarine is usually used as a spread for a bread or a roll. It ensures that the bread or roll is not too dry. For example, many people who want to pay a little attention to the line use margarine instead of butter and can save calories. Margarine can also be used for baking cakes and pastries. Many people here use margarine as an alternative to butter because it is soft right from the start and is therefore easier to process than butter. You can leave the margarine outside without cooling and then use it directly for baking.
