The conventional gas filling technology is based on the displacement of air. Here, the heavier filling gas (e.g. argon / krypton / mixtures) is introduced into the insulating glass unit from below and displaces the lighter air.
Important here: The gas must be filled into the pane as homogeneously as possible, as otherwise turbulence and air inclusions can occur (this would then be a purging process in which at least 4 times the amount of gas is required). A higher expenditure of time and unreliable gas concentrations are additionally the consequence:

The SMART 150 is a small and handy gas filling system, equipped with the proven and high-quality components of HELANTEC gas filling technology. The gas concentration is permanently measured by the integrated gas analyzer during the entire filling process. As soon as the set gas concentration is reached, the filling process is automatically terminated. By using a pump and the optimized filling speed, an extremely low gas consumption is achieved. The SMART 150 can be used for all gases and gas mixtures common in the insulating glass industry.

Note: This filling technology is mainly used outside the production line (offline) and is suitable for panes up to a size of approx. 2.0 m². With larger slices there is a risk of excessive bulging during the filling process. Therefore, we recommend using a gas filling system with rapid filling technology for larger panes.
