The electrical heating coil for air heating consists of a connection housing made of sheet metal, equipped with unfinned or finned tubular heating elements. The installation should be carried out in a duct with recirculation operation and changing air direction. As the maximum application temperature was +300°C, the heating coil was to be designed with a cooling section and additional thermal insulation.
Solution
Due to the different air volumes and installation dimensions, an individual design was necessary for each furnace. The exact adjustment to the operating conditions guaranteed a long functional capability. The use of finned tubular heating elements with Cr-Ni steel sheathing and the electrical contact on solid copper rails had already proven themselves over many years.
The control was carried out on site by digital industrial temperature controllers and thyristor controllers.Power: up to 360 kW heating coil for air heating
Voltage: up to 500 V
The project was realized and delivered within 5 weeks.
The prices for these electrical heating coils were between approx. € 2,000.00 and € 40,000.00 (depending on power and design).
