Description

Kissenplatten-Wärmeübertrager (KPWA, engl. Pillow Plate) sind eine spezielle Wärmeaustauscher-Bauart in industriellen Anlagen, bei der zwei aufeinanderliegende Bleche zu einem geschlossenen Druckraum zu sogenannten Thermoblechen verschweißt werden. Um im Druckraum die kundenseitig geforderte Druckfestigkeit zu erlangen und zusätzlich maximale strömungsmechanische und thermodynamische Effizienz zu generieren, wird ein lasergeschweißtes oder widerstandsgeschweißtes Punktmuster innerhalb des Druckraums definiert. Das Punktmuster von Thermoblechen ist das charakteristische Element von Kissenplatten-Wärmeübertrager-Systemen und wird von den Ingenieurinnen und Ingenieuren bei BUCO in der Thematik Wärmeaustausch seit vielen Jahrzenten in Perfektion festgelegt und darüber hinaus durch Rückopplung von Prozessdaten und Kundendaten stetig in die aktuelle Auslegung und Berechnung integriert.

Heat Transfer
Heat transfer takes place between areas of different temperatures in the direction of the colder ones. While in the building sector one tries to prevent this with insulation measures, the aim of technical processes is to supply heat to one side or to extract it from the other. This exchange usually takes place between liquid or gaseous media. Heat exchangers or heat exchanger transformers (also recuperators) are used for this purpose, which should transfer the energy as completely as possible to the medium to be heated. One type is a regenerator that first absorbs the heat from one medium and then releases it to another. When transmitting with recuperators, the two media are separated. Between them is a heat-conducting material through which the heat energy is transferred. To increase the performance of the heat exchanger, a maximum of separation surfaces between the media is aimed for. Plate heat exchangers consist of a stack of plates, between which one and then the other medium flows alternately. In the shell-and-tube heat exchanger, one of the media flows in a large number of pipes arranged in parallel. The other medium moves on the outside. In direct current heat transfer, where both media flow in the same direction, their temperatures are ideally adjusted. In the best case, the counterflow principle transfers all the heat from one medium to the other.An example of a heat exchanger that transfers heat between a liquid and a gas is the motor cooler that transfers the temperature of the cooling water to the outside air. Heat exchangers are becoming increasingly important as heat recovery systems. The strong heating of compressed air compressors is thus transferred to air (air heat exchanger) or oil (oil heat exchanger). The heat is then used for heating purposes or as process heat. Residential ventilation systems transfer the heat of the used air to the incoming fresh air. In the field of renewable energies, heat exchangers are used, for example, in solar heating systems. The heat generated by the solar collector is transferred to the storage tank via a heat exchanger. If necessary, the heating circuit extracts the heat energy for space heating from this, with an additional heat exchanger. The heat from the buffer storage tank is also used for DHW heating via a plate heat exchanger.
