The heat exchanger or preheater is installed forward rotary kiln and can be used like this to treatment of corresponding diverse bulk materials.
Heat exchangers procedural covered, designed and built by ZADCON GmbH are classical multi-stage cyclone preheaters with procedural typically attached calcining zone.
The heat exchange is effected in counterflow principle with intensive mixing and partial calcination. The residual calcination can take placed in calciner or calcining zone of rotary kiln.
Another kind of preheater is a flash dryer – can be used as dryer and also as preheater
