ABT Sportsline社は、今日、VWおよびAudiグループ向けの車両を扱う最大のチューナーであり、4つの輪を持つブランドのために数々のモータースポーツ活動も実施しています。しかし、125年以上の歴史を持つ当社では、昨日も重要であり、そこに根ざしているのです。根はしっかり張ることが大切だと思います。しかし、根に縛られてはいけません。私の先祖は、すでにこのモットーを心に刻んでいたのです。その一人、ヨハン・アプトは、1896年に本当の意味での「イノベーション・フォージ」を設立した。蹄鉄の製造と馬車の修理にとどまらず、雪深い厳しい冬にソリとしても使える馬車、つまり真のハイブリッドを発明したのである。それ以来、私たちのファミリービジネスは進化を続けています。渓流が小石を挽きながら、少しずつ大きな水へと進んでいくように、幾世代にもわたる革新的な精神が、私たちをさらに前進させたのです。クルマが好きという気持ちは、早くから私たちの心の中に芽生えていたのです。
創業者の孫であるヨハン・アプトが1950年に初めてカーレースに出場し、我々のモータースポーツ活動の基礎を築いた時、ケンプテンには既に長い間AUTO-ABTが存在していた。父も日常生活の中で速い車を評価していました。そのため、1967年にABTチューニングを設立したのである。1978年にはVWゴルフのチューニングを行い、1980年には早くもチップチューニングを市場に投入した。その後、事態はどんどん好転していきました。そして1991年、ついに今日のヨハンアプト通りに新しい代表社屋がオープンし、2014年には拡張されて印象的なモータースポーツセンターも併設され、独自の博物館も開設されました。
息子のダニエル・アプトも、私や多くの忙しい祖先が残した足跡をたどっています。しかし、彼はずっと前から自分の足跡を残し、時代についていっています：Youtuberとして、そしてABT Sportslineで
