Get to know our history
Founded in 2013, ABMT started out with the intention of selling and refurbishing electrical transformers. In 2015, after winning a contract to recycle transformers in Piauí, the company expanded its operations to recover other materials that make up transformers, such as mineral oil, copper, aluminum, ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
In 2020, it began expanding its factory structure and, the following year, doubled its fleet of trucks. Also in 2021, it signed its first international contract. Finally, in 2023, it signed a contract with one of the country's largest electricity utilities.
With a team of highly qualified and experienced specialists, ABTM prides itself on offering efficient and sustainable recycling solutions for the industrial sector. With quality and safe services, we contribute to a more conscious and sustainable future!

Flat Transformers - Manufacturers, Traders & Suppliers

Flat Transformers
Almost all electronic functional units, e.g. electronic controls, monitoring units etc. require a power source for their operation, which makes the various functions possible in the first place. Since such electronic circuits have a series of components, some of which are very sensitive, the direct mains voltage (230 volts in Europe) cannot under any circumstances be used for the power supply. Such circuits run only with low voltages, e.g. 6 Volt. These low voltages (layman also called "low current") are provided by small transformers, which transform the mains voltage into the corresponding low voltage.Since many years one can already observe the trend that such electronics, which are arranged from a multiplicity of miniature components on a so-called printed circuit board, become ever smaller and also flatter. The conventional design of the transformer is increasingly standing in the way of this flat and space-saving design. Its design is usually more or less cube-shaped and thus reverses the trend towards flat design. For this reason, so-called flat transformers were developed years ago. Although they require slightly more floor space than conventional transformers, they are much flatter. The larger area is usually not relevant, but the height is. The flat design is achieved by arranging the windings (coils) not one above the other, but next to each other. In addition, these are also split again so that the number of windings doubles, but the arrangement next to each other makes them much flatter. This also has the advantage that two voltages are always available, e.g. 2 x 115 volts at the input, 2 x 12 volts at the output, etc. These windings can be connected in series, then the voltage doubles (2 x 12 Volt then 1 x 24 Volt) or in parallel, then the available current doubles at half voltage. These flat transformers are usually encapsulated in plastic housings, which places the connections on pins, which can be pressed directly into corresponding holes in the circuit board and soldered. These designs are also known as "printed flat transformers".
