Get to know our history
Founded in 2013, ABMT started out with the intention of selling and refurbishing electrical transformers. In 2015, after winning a contract to recycle transformers in Piauí, the company expanded its operations to recover other materials that make up transformers, such as mineral oil, copper, aluminum, ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
In 2020, it began expanding its factory structure and, the following year, doubled its fleet of trucks. Also in 2021, it signed its first international contract. Finally, in 2023, it signed a contract with one of the country's largest electricity utilities.
With a team of highly qualified and experienced specialists, ABTM prides itself on offering efficient and sustainable recycling solutions for the industrial sector. With quality and safe services, we contribute to a more conscious and sustainable future!

Schmidbauer only selects high quality metal cores complying to DIN regulations. Depending on application requirements special metal alloys or module constructions are used.
By the way – both of our standard series and the special constructions fulfil national and international regulations.
Automated core welding, vacuum sealing, Testing of every single unit produced.
NC controlled welding for cores complying with EI54 to EI195, including simultaneous welding of mounting brackets.
Vacuum sealing with synthetic resin system, insulation class F.
Transformers e.g. in polyamide housings can be completely and automatically sealed with PU resin.
PC based testing are used to check every single transformer unit before leaving our production facilities (amperage, voltage, coil and insulation resistance, phase sequence, high-voltage tests).

Transformers are transformers. The term transformer is derived from the Latin term transformare and means transform, transform. The noun is called transformer. Transformers are components or electrical engineering systems. They are located at the input of a circuit as input transformers or also at the output as output transformers. Transformers consist of a magnetic circuit. This is usually a ferrite or iron core. Therefore, the conductors of two or more different circuits are wound so that the current in each individual circuit runs around the core several times. If an AC voltage is applied to one of these windings or transformer coils, an AC voltage is applied to the next and further windings. Their height relates to the original first voltage in the same way as the ratio of the windings to each other. Transformers are mainly used to increase or decrease AC voltages. These also mean galvanic isolation of the different circuits from each other.Input transformers are indispensable in households and in industry when supplying electricity. The electrical energy can only be transported economically effectively over long distances by high-voltage lines. On the other hand, however, economical operation of the electrical appliances is only practicable with low and low voltages. Therefore, almost all electronic devices contain mains or input transformers. In them, the operating voltage is different from the mains voltage.
