Roll plate bending machines or only roll bending machines are a work tool, which has the purpose of bending different materials. An few examples are copper, sheet metal, metal or also wood. There are motorised, hydraulic and manual bending machines. But also these are further divided into all types, variations and different qualities. The price is thereby also decided.

The bending is engenered quickly and precisely between two or more rollers. The rollers are arranged in different adjustable heights, whereby the degree of deflection can be determined. By turning the rollers, the sheet is then pressed over the first and under the second. The bent sheet may then be rolled again, which can then produce the desired curvature.
But there are also manual sheet bending machines that make use of leverage. In these, the sheet is bent by pressing a lever, which presses against the sheet metal.

They have a wide range of applications and are used by metal and steel engineers, by brass and copper processors but also hobbyists.
A concrete example is the bending of tubes, usually through a special tube bending machine, but which works based on the same function.
Another example is the deflection of wood, usually with the aid of steam and heat. With it boats are built, music instruments are restored or wine barrels are constructed.
