A throttle screw, for example, is used to regulate the flow and pressure of liquids or gases in engines. Basically, a throttle screw is a nozzle which is a narrow point within a pipe. In a carburettor system, the throttle screw next to the throttle valve regulates the ratio of gas or air to fuel.
