Bugün Volkswagen ve Audi Group'un en büyük araç tuneri olan ABT Sportsline, aynı zamanda Four Ring markası için birçok yarış etkinliği gerçekleştirdi. Ancak, 125 yaşından büyük bir şirkette, dün sayıldı ve biz buna kök saldık. Bence kökler sağlam durmak için önemlidir ama sizi yere bağlayamazlar. Atalarım bu sloganı akıllarında tuttu. Bunlardan biri olan Johann Abt, 1896'da gerçek anlamda bir "Yenilikçi Dövme Fabrikası" kurdu: artık at nalı yapmak ve at arabalarını tamir etmekle sınırlı değil, sert kar günlerinde kızak olarak da kullanılabilecek bir araba icat etti-başka bir deyişle, gerçek bir karışım. O zamandan beri aile işimiz gelişiyor. Tıpkı dağlardaki bir derenin bir çakıl taşını öğütmesi ve yavaş yavaş daha büyük sulara itmesi gibi, birçok neslin yenilikçi ruhu bizi daha da ileriye götürdü. Araba sevgisi kalbimize ve zihnimize çok erken girdi.
Kurucunun torunu John Abt, 1950'de ilk araba yarışına katıldığında ve yarış etkinliğimizin temelini attığında, AUTO-ABT uzun zamandır Kempten'deydi. Babam günlük yaşamında hızlı sürmeyi de takdir ediyor. 1967'de ABT Tuning'i kurdu. 1978'de ilk Volkswagen Golf'ü ayarladı ve ilk çip tunerini 1980'de piyasaya sürdü. Sonra işler daha da yoğunlaştı. 1991 yılında, şirket bugün Johann-Abt-Strasse'de etkileyici bir motor sporları merkezi ve kendi müzesi de dahil olmak üzere 2014 yılında genişletilen yeni ve prestijli genel merkezini açtı.
