About us
Show more Meeting all demands
Hardinge builds super-precision machines that are specially designed for extremely low tolerances and high surface finishes. The machine design allows the workpiece to be positioned closer to the spindle, which brings special advantages for hard turning.
Our machines offer a particularly high level of stability & precision, higher vibration damping, extremely high stability of the tool holders and the best stability of the workpiece clamping. Super-precision hard turning from Hardinge opens up all possibilities to replace expensive complex grinding processes without loss of quality. Hard turning is faster, more flexible, needs less setup time and requires fewer operations.
Where precision and power count, Hardinge machines and clamping technologies are the first choice - where others stop, we get in shape.

Conventional Lathes - Manufacturers, Traders & Suppliers

Conventional lathes are essentially based on a machining manufacturing process for the manufacture of turned parts. In conventional turning, mainly round parts are machined to produce different bodies of rotation. Free, symmetrical shapes can also be created by means of additional devices. Depending on the requirements, different cutting machine tools were developed for turning or conventional models were adapted. This is why there are so many models today that hardly differ from each other in basic design and functionality. In addition to the supporting frame and the lathe bed, there is a machine for producing turned parts from the headstock, which is connected to the motor and sets the workpiece in rotation. The cutting tool is mounted firmly on the tool carriage and set in motion by means of the feed. Since the machining process is associated with strong inherent vibrations, the substrate must have good damping properties. In classical turning, the fixed workpiece is set in rotation, the actual chip removal is carried out by a cutting tool that is continuously moved along the surface to be treated by the tool slide. Depending on the design, various parameters can be set differently. Normally, the cutting data include the cutting speed, the feed rate and the cutting depth. Conventional lathes or used conventional lathes are usually used in the production of single parts and small series. Also in the training the function mode at a conventional lathe is explained and practiced.
