Description

The pumps of H type – are centrifugal, chemical machines, which are manufactured with stuffing box seal of the shaft or end-face seal of the shaft (single or double seal).

Technical data

Centrifugal chemical pumps of H type and electric pump units on their base are designed for pumping chemically active and neutral liquids having a density not exceeding 1850 kg/m3, with a content of solid inclusions not more than 0,1% by volume, and the size of particles not exceeding 0,2 mm, for which the corrosion of the flow passage material is 01mm/year, maximum. Kinematic viscosity of up to 30х10-6 m2/s. The temperature of pumped liquid ranging from 233 up to 393 (from minus 40°С up to +120°С).

How the centrifugal pump works: Centrifugal pumps are feed pumps for transporting liquids (liquid pump). Their function is based on simple physical laws, the centrifugal forces, from which the name of the pump also derives. The liquid to be conveyed flows in a round container which begins to rotate around its own axis at high speed. The centrifugal force causes the pressure inside (pressure pump) to drop, while it rises sharply in the outer edge of the container, pushing the liquid upwards at the edge. There is a side opening at the top. The liquid, which has been pressed up to the point where it has reached the opening, shoots through the opening due to its top pressure. Tubes can be installed at this opening to transport the liquid. Thanks to their simple but very effective design, centrifugal pumps are widely used. Their use is conceivable practically everywhere where liquids have to be transported. Whether in the food processing industry (food pumps), in water treatment plants or on oil production islands; centrifugal pumps can be found everywhere. This pump technology is also used by the fire brigade and the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief. Centrifugal pumps are used, for example, in emergency aid in flooded areas to empty flooded houses. Its simple construction requires not only little assembly work, but also low energy consumption, which allows it to be assembled quickly and in a way that saves resources.
