Sludge Pumps
Sludge pumps are used, among other things, for cleaning ponds or for pumping out building pits or septic tanks. This pump technology conveys sludge at the bottom of the excavation pit or a garden pond. Like the waste water pumps, sludge pumps can convey fluids containing solids. In this case, however, the sludge pump must be made of wear-resistant materials, as it permanently conveys aggregates and this has a cutting effect on the pump housing. This pump has a hardened vortex impeller and belongs to the suction pump group. Furthermore, the design is always a submersible pump, as it can be lowered ideally to the ground.
