The mist eliminator is particularly important due to the stricter legal environmental regulations, which stipulate that the residual content of pollutants from gas scrubbing plants must be drastically reduced. Due to this fact it is necessary to use powerful droplet separators, which separate even the finest droplets smaller than ten microns with the lowest pressure loss.

These include, for example, flue gas desulphurisation plants and the pulp industry, the offshore sector as well as exhaust air systems and air conditioning systems, but also the chemical industry and environmental technology as well as evaporation condensers and cooling towers. As there may be build-up inside the mist eliminator, a cleaning device is recommended. For example, cyclic spraying with nozzles that are insensitive to clogging has proven itself. This prevents incrustations and guarantees optimum efficiency for a long time.
