Wet separators are specialized filtration systems that use water as a carrier medium to clean hall air. They are primarily used in applications involving sparks or in the extraction of combustible and explosive dusts (e.g., in accordance with ATEX directives).
The patented flow technology developed by ABSAUGWERK offers significant advantages over conventional wet scrubbers, gas scrubbers, or vortex scrubbers: higher extraction performance combined with significantly reduced water and energy consumption. Even for critical substances such as carcinogenic particles, recirculating air operation is possible – safely and efficiently.

At the heart of our wet separators is a patented multi-chamber flow technology that directs dust and particles precisely into a water bath. There, emissions are separated through targeted airflow with minimal resistance – particularly effective for combustible and explosive dusts.
The air then passes through multiple filtration stages, including a high-quality stainless steel demister, which reliably removes any remaining moisture. Depending on the application, the purified air can be recirculated or discharged as exhaust air.
